October is from the Latin octo, meaning Eight, a Powerful number indicating abundance and prosperity. we've entered Opal October on the First Sunday, home to Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, beauty, and happiness. she is 'Queen of the Lotus'. the Radiant Opal is October's Birthstone, representing a person's period of birth, month, or zodiac sign. Libras and Scorpios span October.


astrologists today associate magical opal with the planet Uranus, and believe the gemstone to have transformative healing properties, enhancing joy, creativity and intuition. it symbolizes hope, faith and love and was believed to bring good luck and fortune. rainbow opal also connects to all the seven chakras, which can help you balance your energy and align with your true self. it is said to amplify your emotions and desires. acccording to legend, the Holy Grail was made of a single opal stone. the Prophet Mohammed is said to have worn a fiery opal ring, which is said to have given him miraculous powers. it was also considered as one of the 12 stones in the breastplate of the High Priest. it was also once believed that opal could grant invisibility to anyone who wore it.


the 'Sky King' planet Uranus is at its farthest and faintest for the year and just met with the new moon in Libra, sparking our Heart with Cosmic Love. this weekend, we have a special celestial treat: an annular solar eclipse that will create a 'ring of fire' in the sky. this is a rare opportunity to witness the beauty and power of nature. don't miss it!
