six years ago, we launched JUSTtouch at the Charles Porter Recreation Center for the Golden Gate District Community Holiday Party. since then, through crises and change, we’ve evolved with one guiding truth: healing begins within—and grows through community. at tranquilityRx, our mission is to transform suffering into strength through touch, movement, and voice. we believe peace and resilience are everyone’s birthright, not a luxury.

with support from Oakland Communities United for Equity and Justice, JUSTtouch has trained a dozen massage therapy externs and provided hundreds of free sessions to more than 300 low-income Oakland residents. in partnership with Oakland Unite, Self Help Hunger Program, and others, we’ve built trauma-informed wellness programs—Walking the Path and Trauma Study Circles—bringing movement meditation and healing to front line workers and neighbors along the San Pablo corridor.

we’re proud to keep Oakland’s healing heartbeat strong through community action, food security partnerships, and wellness access for all.
