healing happens together: a no-cost healing Intensive at Canticle Farm

what if you could step away from the demands of everyday life and enter a space created for rest, care, connection, and renewal?
this fall, join JUSTtouch, Burgeoning Scholars, and Walking the Path for a four-month community healing intensive at Canticle Farm in Oakland’s Fruitvale neighborhood. together, we are creating a nurturing space where people can slow down, receive care, reconnect with the land, and experience what becomes possible when healing happens in community.
nurturing spaces matter
trauma is not rare. nearly two out of every three adults report experiencing at least one adverse childhood experience. but adversity is not the end of the story. research from the CDC shows that safe, stable, nurturing relationships and environments can help protect health and support people’s ability to thrive. positive experiences matter, too. caring relationships, supportive communities, safety, and a sense of belonging are associated with better mental and relational health—even when adversity has occurred.
social connection can also improve the way our bodies respond to stress. learn more from the U.S. Surgeon General.
this is the heart of our gathering: a Sunday afternoon creating a place where people can breathe, move, rest, receive nurturing care, and reconnect with themselves, one another, and the land.
what you’ll experience
each gathering offers:
3:00–3:30 p.m. — movement meditation
3:00–4:30 p.m. — restorative chair massage
3:30–4:30 p.m. — sound healing and land activation
4:30–5:30 p.m. — trauma study circle
